The greatest challenge for a new medical graduate is managing ICU duties. When faced with a critical patient, it's easy to forget the theories learned and feel overwhelmed. While there are many comprehensive ICU books available, it's often difficult to find practical and real-life applications within their pages.

Many universities offer expensive courses, but instead of focusing on concept-building, students often end up listening to entire books presented on PowerPoint slides. My approach, however, is different. I'm Dr. Subodh Chaturvedi, with 18 years of experience in cardiac anesthesia and critical care. I've been teaching doctors for the past 15 years, and my experience handling thousands of emergencies has shaped the development of this ICU course.

For those who have taken my other courses, you'll know what to expect from this program. This course has two components: online lectures and a hands-on residential camp. The online lectures involve case scenarios to discuss various medical concepts, with over 120 hours of content currently available and more on the way.

In addition, there will be a four-day residential camp in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, where students and instructors will live and learn together. The next camp is scheduled for August in Indore. During the camp, participants will apply their theoretical knowledge through practical exercises, such as intubation, central line placement, wound dressing, suturing, and management of fractures and trauma. They will also study BLS and ACLS and learn to tackle various ventilator and hemodynamic issues using simulator machines.

My goal is for graduates to leave this course with newfound confidence, knowing that their treatment choices are sound and that they are well-equipped to handle emergency situations.
